Play-off winner A (D)

Can be either Hungary, Bulgaria, Iceland.
If Romania wins this path, the winner of play-off path D would take this slot. It could then be either Georgia, Belarus, North Macedonia or Kosovo.
As a winner, Romania would play in Bucharest and take the slot allocated to winner play-off D (A).

As a host country, if Romania wins in play-offs, it would play 2 matches at home in Bucharest and 1 match in the corresponding paired city of Amsterdam. As a result this slot would be taken by the play-off winner of path D (i.e: Georgia, Belarus, North Macedonia or Kosovo).

Iceland

Iceland is in play-off path A together with Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

To qualify for UEFA EURO 2020, they need to beat Romania on March 26, 2020 and win against either Hungary or Bulgaria on March 31, 2020.

They would then play:

  • On Tuesday June 16, 2020 in Budapest v Portugal
  • On Saturday June 20, 2020 in Budapest v France
  • On Wednesday June 24, 2020 in Munich v Germany

Romania

Romania is in play-off path A together with Hungary, Bulgaria and Iceland.

To qualify for UEFA EURO 2020, they need to beat Iceland on March 26, 2020 and win against either Bulgaria or Hungary on March 31, 2020.

As a host country, they would then play:

  • On Sunday June 14, 2020 in Bucharest v Austria
  • On Thursday June 18, 2020 in Bucharest v Ukraine
  • On Monday June 22, 2020 in Amsterdam v Netherlands
